Lee Ann Landstrom celebrates her birthday on November 25th. She was born and raised in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, and graduated from Carlton College in Minnesota and the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan where she received a master's degree in zoology. Lee Ann is the Director of Eastman Nature Center in the Three Rivers Park District in the Minneapolis and St. Paul metropolitan area, serving as a naturalist and environmental educator. She is the co-author, with Karen Shragg, of Nature's Yucky: Gross Stuff That Helps Nature Work. SLJ said, "surefire for the lovers of gross-out factoids." The Izaak Walton League of America awarded it Best Children's Nature Book of 2003 and it was a Minnesota Book Award finalist.
