Born on November 1st in Little Falls, Minnesota, Lynne Jonell grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The daughter of a pastor and a piano teacher, Lynne has always loved to laugh, read, and explore life. She has written seven picture books, including When Mommy Was Mad and Let's Play Rough. Her most recent book is a fantasy novel, Emmy & the Incredible Shrinking Rat. Lynne teaches writing at The Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis. She has a husband and two sons, with whom she lives in Plymouth, Minnesota.
