Born August 28th, author Katie McKy lives in Wisconsin, where she visits a lot of schools, teaching students her tips for writing. She is the author of Pumpkin Town and It All Began With a Bean, as well as two books for teachers, including Tough Kids, Tough Classrooms and Educators Are Writers. Katie taught school for 23 years, emphasizing writing and telling stories whenever she could.
