Joanne Linden

I'm a children's writer from Wisconsin who has written and sold poems, articles, and pieces of fiction to children's magazines. I’ve published two books about dogs, and I currently have a new picture book under contract with Mountain Press in Missoula, Montana.

I grew up in northern Minnesota near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, where the boreal forest reigns supreme; I have always lived close to nature. It clears my head, ignites my creativity, and feeds my spirit. I love to read, write, and paint. But hanging out at our lake cottage with my husband and our Scottie is what I like best of all! We have 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren who all love books.
